CONTRACTING WITH SORA SOLUTIONS LLC
What is an independent contractor?
As an independent contractor with Sora Solutions LLC, agents are responsible for maintaining office requirements, keeping accurate earnings records, and are responsible for reporting earned income to the IRS annually during each specified filing period. We provide a 1099 for those agents who have earned over $600 during any calendar year in compliance with the IRS guidelines.
How much will I earn?
Pay ranges from $10.00 to $22.00 an hour based on Client selection and metric ratings.
Will I receive benefits such as health insurance, a retirement plan, or paid vacation?
Since you would be an Independent Contractor, you would not be eligible to receive any employee benefits such as health insurance, a retirement plan, or paid vacation time through Sora Solutions LLC.
What type of clients do you service?
We service Fortune 500 Companies across ten different sectors that are actively seeking Agents through our platform. Sora Solutions LLC is always looking for new opportunities to expand our Client base.
What states does Sora Solutions LLC NOT contract in?
Sora Solutions LLC does not currently contract with residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C. due to state laws regarding Independent Contractor requirements. Please check back for updates on your state.
Is there a minimum age requirement to contract with Sora Solutions LLC?
Yes, Sora Solutions LLC only contracts with persons 18 years of age or older.
Can I choose my schedule?
After completion of a client certification course, you are able to choose how much time you spend working. However, all clients require a minimum of 15 hours a week to remain active.
How many calls do Agents handle a day?
Call volume varies based on an agent's client selection, time of day, and seasonality. Peak call times occur evenings, nights, weekends, and certain times of the year, e.g., during the holiday season.
APPROVAL PROCESS
Is there a background check required?
Yes, we require a 7-year background check to be conducted for all prospective agents. The background checks follow and comply with the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) along with all other applicable federal, state, and local laws. The background check is an upfront fee of $30.00 paid by the Independent Contractor.
Can I provide my own background check?
No, in order to maintain compliance and consistency in our screening process, Sora Solutions LLC will not accept background check results supplied by outside vendors. Our background check provider meets all FCRA standards and compliant consent methods.
What can disqualify me?
Reasons for disqualification may include (but are not limited to):
Failed the basic and/or video assessment(s)
Voice sample: Poor enunciation and/or tone
Did not meet equipment requirements and/or failed system scan
Unacceptable or incomplete background check
How long does it take to get started?
Once you've submitted your application, New Agent Onboarding is required to be completed within 3 days and Client selection completed within 14 days.
Does Sora Solutions LLC change any fees?
As an Independent Contractor, you will be responsible for paying 2 necessary items:
The background check upfront fee is $30.00, paid by the Independent Contractor and is good for 36 months.
There is a $49.99 platform usage fee per pay period.
CERTIFICATIONS
How long does it take to be certified as an Agent?
Agent certification course times are dependent on the Client the Agent chooses. Certification courses require a mandatory 4 hours a day for 2 to 6 weeks.
Are there costs associated with certification courses?
Most certification courses are free to Agents, however some clients charge for certification courses not to exceed $200.00. This fee would be paid by the Agent.
Will I be paid during the certification training?
Certification training courses are normally unpaid. However, some Clients offer paid certification or "Learn as you Earn" courses when the Agent is taking live calls.
What if I drop a certification course or the Client drops me?
Attending the first day of a certification course is mandatory. Failure to attend will result in a $20.00 fee from the Client and removal from their program.
Dropping a program or being dropped by the Client will result in a 30-day waiting period before being able to enroll in a new opportunity.
Dropping or being dropped from a certification course twice within a 60-day period may result in a permanent ban from our platform.
